Hello again!

I'm going to talk about Pink Floyd.

This was a progressive rock band of Englad, very influencial in the story of music. The original members were  Roger Waters (bass player), Syd Barrett (compositor and guitarrist), Nick Mason (drummer) and Richard Wright (keyboardist) and they all can sing. In early years of the band, they created psychedelic music. Time later, the guitarrist and singer, David Gilmour replace Syd, who was unable to play and sing. Years, later, the style of music changed, from psychedelic, to progressive rock. Pink Floyd have many discs, each one of wich are greats. My favourites are The Wall and Wish you were here.

I like the music of this band, because it can transport the people to another places, with very emotional sounds and lyrics.  They work not only with the sound of their instrumens, also with all kind of world's sounds like machines (in the song Money) or the dog barking (in the song Seamus). One of my favourite song is Wish you were here, who reminds me importants moment in my life with my girldfriend Valentina. The song was full of emotion and nostalgia. 

Unfortanely, at present this band don't exist but it possible go to see the shows of two of the original members: Roger Waters and David Gilmour, who plays some of the Pink Floyd's old songs. I have the oportunity to see Roger Waters when he came with his band, to repeat The Wall Tour, this was amazing.

Hello! and welcome to my blog!

My name is José Acevedo, but all the people just  call me"Pepe". I prefer that, because my family was full of "Jose" and that was the reason of a lot of confusions. I was born in 23rd January of 1991 in Santiago of Chile. Years later, I went to a school in the middle of the city called San Ignacio where I make someone of my biggest friends.

Actually, I study for be a filmaker in the Universidad de Chile and this is my fourth year. My parents are José and Yaline and I have two sister, Carolina and Marlen. I am the youngest of the three. My sisters are 11 and 12 years older than me. Marlen lives in a department in Ñuñoa and Carolina lives in Talagante with her husband Rodrigo and their little child (and my first niece!) Emilia. 

I like all the things related with arts. I like the music very much. I like a lot types of music, but my favourite artists are Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan and Sigur Ros. In my free time, I play the guitar and harmónica and I like make draws and cartoon of the people who I know. My favourite cartoonist is the argentinian artist Liniers. I appreciate very much the artists (and the people in general) who can live doing the things they love.
